Coffin House Location

So I’ve heard friends talk about going to the “Coffin House.” Supposedly it is this creepy place where they make grave stones and coffins, and since they know everyone walks through their yard, they’ve sort of set all the gravestones up and make a path of to this little building at the top of a hill. A few friends have been there, but it’s been too long for them to remember where it was. Anyone know what I’m talking about? I’d love to find this place. It sounds pretty cool!

UPDATE: Thanks for Jordan, the address of the Coffin House is 205 East 10200 South. See comment below.

did you end up going here? what is it exactly?

  3. Jordan is right! 205 East 10200 South is the address of Coffin House! I went during the day, but I imagine it would be pretty creepy at night!

When I google map it… I dont see a coffin house

  6. jacob says:

it’s nothing too spectacular. coffins (there’s a mortuary right down the street) line up in a row, down a road. nothing more.

I live right up the street from it and it isn’t creepy at all. They actually don’t even make gravestones or coffins. They make the cement that goes in the ground to encase the coffin in the ground. I would hardly call this an adventure it’s literally down the walk way from the Sandy dog park.

I just found this posting. in high school my friend and i were talking to our employer about this place and how scary it was and she said “Wait, do you mean the old factory by burger king?” We told her yes, that’s what we meant, and she laughed hard for probably about 15 minutes. Her family used to own that factory before it shut down, nothing weird or strange happened there, they just stopped functioning.

It’s not as creepy as it was before they tore down the old building that was there. But it’s easy to find. Take 10600 south exit off I-15 and head East to State street, once to State street turn North and get into the far right lane. Head through the 1st light and when you get to the second (Burger King, Sonic, just before cemetery) turn right (East) and follow the road until the very end and on the left (North) side you will see a gate and dirt road, pull in there and you can see the building just to the East. Keep going North and you will see a bridge on the East that will take you directly to it.

Just so anyone who wants to go, I went and I didn’t see it at all. I believe its completely demolished.

We used to go here all the time in highschool! There was a really freaky building and “coffins” all over the place… There was a black cat that would wander around too… It doesn’t sur me if they tore it down… The shack was falling apart and super dangerous… It was a way fun place to take people who had never been though!!

  12. daniel says:

It’s not torn down. You can see it from Trax.

  13. Marilyn says:

Does anyone know for sure if its demolished or if its still there??

    • Luke A says:

Marilyn yes it is still there, but it’s functioning right now. I’ve been inside the legit thing. Don’t go there, you could get caught.

  14. Jessica says:

It’s still there. Not demolished. 🙂 the tower is but the actually building isnt. It looks like it may soon be demolished though.
